You can call our highly experienced clinical team if your child, teenager or family is going through difficulties.
At Mental Wellness For Life, we believe that we need to know “who” we are treating before we can know “how.” Therefore, we conduct an extensive initial evaluation and continue with frequent and thorough follow-up sessions.
During your initial evaluation, we will ask you the usual medical and health-related questions; however, we don’t stop there. We also want to know YOUR STORY. We take our time with you to thoroughly discuss your symptoms, past experiences, and treatment goals. This is the first step in designing a treatment plan that places you at the center.

Even on a good day, life can be overwhelming. Buzzing phones, work obligations, relationships, family, to-do lists, email overload, expectations and illness. Feeling like you just can’t handle it all? With so many unknowns in life, we can often feel overwhelmed, down, or emotional. It can be difficult to understand why we feel that way. And, at times, we don’t know what to do to feel better.
That’s where I come in. Hi! I’m Jackie Zommick. I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Southern California who believes that every individual has the right to feel seen and heard. In my practice, I believe in comprehensive treatment and total holistic care, integrating both a biological understanding of emotions and the psychosocial influence for what may be contributing to a feeling. This allows for an integrative treatment approach that combines lifestyle changes and therapy in addition to potential psychiatric medication to help enhance your potential to find balance and live your best life.

Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, mood changes, trauma, or the stress of major life transitions. These challenges often overlap, leaving people feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal client is seeking more than symptom relief-they want to feel understood, grounded, and back in control of their life. They may be searching for clarity, healthier ways to cope, or answers to questions they’ve been carrying quietly for a long time.
I provide individualized, holistic, and evidence-based practice psychiatric care. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I do a thorough psychiatric evaluation in order to determine the needs, problems, and treatment options available to my patients by following the standards of assessment, diagnosis, collaborative plan, and treatment.
Reaching out for mental health support can feel intimidating-especially if you’ve been managing everything on your own. You may be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or even hopeless right now, but you are not alone. Taking the step to seek help is a meaningful act of self-care and strength. I aim to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel supported.
